As a Merchant or Resident renting a unit at Fauna, your rental has an attached “AdBoard” sign that you may customize with an image of your choice instead of your profile pic by default. You may also include items with copy/transfer permissions that will be distributed to any users that touch your sign.

Fauna Merchants have the added bonus of a Teleporter on the Teleport Directory at the sim landing point and at the events arena that utilizes your “AdBoard” image So, it is highly recommended that Merchants change your image to your store logo!

Where is my sign/AdBoard?

Townhome tenants ~ Your “AdBoard” is located on the mailbox corresponding with your unit as pictured below:

Residential tenants ~ Your “AdBoard” is located above the Resident Stables stall that corresponds with your house’s unit number as pictured below:

Merchants ~ Your “AdBoard” is the sign on your unit as pictured below:

How to Change the Image & Include Items to Be Distributed

To change your AdBoard’s image so that it no longer shows your Profile Picture —
a. In your inventory, make a copy of the image you want to use.
b. Rename the image “CUSTOM_PIC“.
c. Right click the image in your inventory and go to “Properties”.
d. “Next owner” permissions must be FULL PERMS (MOD/COPY/TRANSFER) so it can be properly applied onto the AdBoard.
In your inventory, all other items you plan to put in the Adboard must be set to both COPY and TRANSFER “Next owner” permissions. (This is very important so that everyone who clicks the board can receive your items. Items with No Mod permissions are ok.)
Please be sure that all items have the proper/desired name and permissions IN YOUR INVENTORY before this step!!!
Touch the board and choose “Yes” from the menu popup to ready the AdBoard for accepting your items. (The AdBoard will turn green when it is ready to accept your items.)
WARNING!!! Good/Fair hand-eye coordination motor skills REQUIRED — Shift or Ctrl select all items that you wish to include in your inventory and then CTRL+drag your items directly from your inventory onto the board. (A red highlight/outline will appear around the AdBoard when your cursor is hovering over it.)
When you are finished, click the board again and choose “FINALIZE” (AdBoard will auto finalize or simply timeout in 3 minutes.)
a. Option “TEST” from the popup menu will send you a folder of your items so that you may preview exactly what other users will receive.
b. You can always click the board again to change your items but every time you choose “Yes” and/or “Start Over”, all previously added items are deleted from the board.
